With value-driven healthcare experience across Medicare, Medicaid and commercial lines of business, Nathan has a talent for moving strategy into actionable steps resulting in successful delivery of large-scale, meaningful innovation. Prior to joining Gainwell, Nathan was president of health plans for OptumRx. He had held previous positions with UnitedHealth Group for 13 years, working in collaboration to bid, build, migrate, and simplify health plans across the country. He has also held leadership positions with Express Scripts, Deluxe and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
Nathan received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and business from Southwest Minnesota State University and an MBA in MIS from University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. He resides in Elk River, Minnesota with his wife and their five school-age children.
